Bishop Sherman D. Farmer
Bishop Sherman Farmer accepted Jesus Christ in 1985 under the ministry of Overseer Annie Bell Hagler Neal. From 1992-1994, he attended United Deliverance Bible College, where God revealed his calling as a pastor, prophet, and apostle. In 1996, he was licensed to preach by Bishop Charles Lanier and re-licensed in 1997 by Rev. Dr. John D. Chaplin.
In the early 2000s, Apostle Farmer launched the Band of Prophets, an online forum for biblical and prophetic training. He later transformed it into New Gibeah Ministries for Christ. After initially starting the ministry in 2003, he returned to Pleasant Lane Baptist Church and served as Assistant Pastor until 2007.
Apostle Farmer was ordained an Elder in 2005, and in 2010, he was officially affirmed as an Apostle. In 2016, he was elevated to Bishop-Elect, marking the church’s growth and transition to Cathedral on the Hill Church.
